The OOW Deck is responsible for safe vessel operations, navigation, crew supervision, and the protection of human life, assets and the marine environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee vessel navigation, preparation, manoeuvring and emergency situations.
Supervise passenger and cargo transfers.
Ensure vessel cleanliness, tidiness and routine maintenance.
Enforce company and client policies, procedures and safety standards.
Conduct crew management, training and emergency drills.
Report technical and operational incidents to management.
Ensure the bridge is adequately manned at all times.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.
Requirements
OOW Deck Certificate (NCV/Unlimited).
Relevant STCW certifications.
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Deck Officer or Surfer Pilot.
